Alexandre Britto – Head Instructor at Alliance Boca Raton
Alexander Britto brings over 30 years of experience to the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). He began his journey in September 1989, training under Grand Master Fernando “Pinduka” Guimarães. By the time he was a Blue and Purple Belt, Alex had already claimed state championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2002, after years of dedication and competition, he earned his Black Belt from Master Sérgio Souza.
Later that same year, Alex moved to the United States, where he established the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Chester County, Pennsylvania, becoming the first Black Belt instructor in that region. His leadership was instrumental in developing a strong BJJ community, producing 17 Black Belts and multiple Pan American champions and World medalists from 2002 to 2016.
In 2006, Alex was invited by Master Romero “Jacaré” Cavalcanti to join the prestigious Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Team, leading to the creation of Alliance Pennsylvania. Eventually, he relocated to Boca Raton, Florida, in 2016, where he founded Alliance Boca Raton. Under his guidance, this school has become a central hub for high-level BJJ training, continuing to produce top-tier competitors.
Today, Alexandre Britto is a 5th-degree Black Belt, recognized for his significant contributions to the BJJ community. He remains affiliated and certified with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), continually shaping the next generation of champions through his teaching and mentorship.
